Which is why I almost never bother to post an answer unless there's a distinction between the question and the actual problem for me to clarify (which is probably why we've been answering a lot of the same questions). As a teacher, adding the information they need after the information they want seems to me to be the exact way to handle the situation.

Imagine—instead of being called to the stand to provide expert testimony—that a dude at an indie coffee house shared his problem with everyone, and you decided to help. (To be fair, it is a pretty weird indie coffee house.)
