According to this meta suggestion, single-use tags will no longer expire if they have a tag wiki.
We have a historic problem whereby users will ask about a game system (and a tag will be created for it), but that will be the only question on the system, dooming the tag to later be obliterated and, in a lot of cases, the context for the question will be lost.
If there are any low-use system tags at risk of obliteration and which should be preserved, help save them!
You can do it in one of two ways: either ask another question with that tag, or give it a tag wiki to prevent its tragic demise.
- To come: maybe a list of questions whose tags have been obliterated, and those tags need revival and preservation.
Existing single-question system tags in need of action
Our call to action is to either rescue or destroy these tags.
To rescue a tag, give it a wiki. If there are extra questions asking about this system but without its tag, tag them.
To destroy a tag, propose a synonym if it should be turned into another tag, or if there is nothing to be gained by having it around, just remove the tag from its only question or find a better tag.
Then update this list!
If you find a system tag I overlooked / didn't recognise as a system tag, add it!
